Chamonix provides film holders for every format--4x5, 5x7, 5x8, Whole Plate,8x10, 11x14, 7x17, 8x20, 4x10, 12x20 etc. Each is made to a very high standard of craftsmanship. The materials are wood (holder itself) and carbon fiber (dark slide). All of our holders are lighter and more rigid than commonly available plastic holders.

New light weight 810 film holder has just come out. It has a weight of 435 grams, 110 grams lighter than our current 810 film holder. Perfect for backpackers with our 810 camera. The price of our light 810 film holder is $450 each.

New update as of Oct 30th of 2022 about our 45 film holders: we have some machine made plastic holders coming out and the number of our first batch is very limited. The weight of our 45 plastic film holder is 171 grams.

For those photographers using our 810X Alpinist cameras, we have finally come out with an ultra light 810 film holder. Its name is Summit 810. This is actually a set of five ultra thin holders with a holder frame. Each holder has to be used with the holder frame when working with our current 810V and 810X cameras. A new ultra light 810 camera model is in its design and testing stage for these holders to be used without the holder frame. Each holder has a weight of 285g and a thickness of 4.8mm with its thickest part of 6.2mm. The holder frame has a weight of 161g and will attach the holder to itself via magnet. This set of five holders and its frame has its carbon fiber carry bag. The carry bag has a weight of 293g. The price of our Summit 810 set is $3,900.
